Welcome to my web page!

Since June 2019, I am Audio Research Engineer at Creative Labs, UK, working on cutting edge spatial audio products, involving both headphones and loudspeakers.

Between 2017 and 2019, I was Research Fellow at the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP), University of Surrey, UK, where I also pursued my PhD, in 2017. During those two years, I was researcher for the S3A Future Spatial Audio in the Home project. My research interest was to combine audio-visual features to study the acoustical characteristics of different environments. Furthermore, for this project, I also worked on the generation of reverberant spatial audio objects (RSAOs), by selecting sets of parameters from multi-channel room impulse responses, to create editable spatial descriptions of the room acoustics.

During my PhD, at CVSSP, I was also involved in the University Defence Research Collaboration (UDRC) in Signal Processing, an academia led partnership project between industry and defence. The purpose of my research was to investigate the audio multipath problem, with the final aim of modeling convolutive source separation techniques.

I received the B.Sc. and M.E. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. During my M.E., I spent some months as Visiting Student at the Department of Signal Processing and Acoustics, Aalto University, Finland, where I focused on the sound synthesis of musical instruments.
